Me&My sunny days.....

 

We have had beautiful weather the past couple of days, and a flurry of activity on the designing front, I'm determined to fill up my Etsy shop with as many lovely things as possible, plus there has been a whole heap of friends who have either had a baby or are expecting one (myself included!) which always helps with ideas....

I have loved watching my ideas evolve, its been less then a year since I started all of this as a hobby! and only 6months of really making it a viable business, and in that time my style, has become cleaner, brighter and most of all very much my own :-) the next few months are seriously exciting, Me&My will be featured in a book, more stockists to be confirmed, and if I'm brave enough I may even attempt a trade show, all this while counting down until September when our family of 3 will become 4!

what a random day.....

well well, its been a rather strange day! I have been steadily prepping for the Easter weekend craft fair after taking a month off, and thinking I must get back into things, then all of a sudden I have orders coming in from all over the place, and I'm now as busy as I would hope to be...looking forward to Sunday, trading at Inn on the Park in St Albans, and keeping my fingers crossed that the weather is kind! here is a preview of some new ranges, I promise there WILL be better photos, but I really get excited about new products and have to share them! feedback as always is most welcome.

Well yesterday was busy! whipped up 3 new designs, what do you think? all just needing to be stitched, available in ages 2-8years,£12 plus P&P, will be on Etsy soon at MeMyUk

 

a bit of this....a bit of that.....

 

When I'm not making kids clothing, I often find myself messing around with felt, I like it because it requires no seaming, it cuts like a dream and you can make very teeny things with it, so I started with an idea for a badge, having done a lot of craft fairs, I have found the 'pocket money' toys sure do get attention and I always like to have a few small things on the stall, I started with the fox, then decided to try a bear, a few hours after this photo was taken i ended up with 4 foxes, 4 Reindeer, 4 bears and 4 Mice...all in all a pleasant day spent sewing, tomorrow its back to the day job, whipping up 7 snowman jumpers!

Me&My at Raindrops on Roses

Good afternoon from a very cold and windy St Albans! the weather has been unpredictable to say the least, but great day for drying clothes on the line! so Christmas orders and prep are in full swing... gearing up for Xmas fairs in London, and designing next years spring/summer range....
Also had a sneak peek in a local shop- Ranindrops on Roses, its a fantastic little shop that is doing a truly wonderful thing for the local community, it stocks up and coming designers and crafts people, giving them a platform for their work to be seen, AND all their profits go to a local cancer Charity too,so that's two big reasons to feel good about spending money! the shop is staffed by volunteers and its a treasure trove of awesome finds, spotted nestled amongst them were some Me&My kids tops!

Retail and up and coming stuff!

 

 

Good Evening, Iv not been here for a while, as I have been crazy busy, October is a manic month, loads of birthdays (including my son) and crafting like crazy for Christmas Craft Fairs, So I just dropped in to show you what I have been up to....

aside from opening a folksy shop  http://folksy.com/shops/MeMy,  I have also been working on orders for retailers, the first of which is Raindrops on Roses, www.facebook.com/raindropsonrosesstalbans

This lovely little shop really is unique, it is run by a cancer charity and give a platform for up and coming designers and crafts people to showcase their work, with 100% of the profit going to local cancer charities, so not only am I delighted to have myself stocked in my local City, but also that the money is going to such a worthy cause! below is the stock I have been working on for them, now all I can do is hope the people of St Albans like it!
